My name is Catherine and I took up Paper Marbling almost 10 years ago. I find the process endlessly fascinating! I drop colours on a size of water which is thickened with moss extract, manipulate them with a stylus and/or combs to create a unique riot of colour and pattern which is then transferred to paper. The question arose, what to do with my ever growing stack of papers? So I turned my hand to making things I could decorate with my marbled paper.
I have been creating boxes, pen pots, frames and other items. Wherever possible I try to recycle and repurpose materials such as off cuts, packaging and remnants otherwise destined for the tip.
