Over the years I’ve trekked across a plethora of American and European beaches, fields, as well as, visited numerous charity, bric-a-brac & curio shops, flea markets and boot sales. Always on the hunt for misfit treasures to repurpose into something new. The UK offers a cornucopia of history and exploration, one where you can find sea glass, broken shards of pottery and Victorian delftware, discarded and rediscovered. On any given weekend, I can traipse along the shores to my hearts’ content, collecting glorious misfit pieces of discarded refuse. As an environmentalist and advocate of reduce/reuse/repurpose I am driven to find new uses for unearthed pieces. And as an avid maker, I’ve melded my passions here, into Usable Misfits.
