ABSOLUTELY MARBLE…OUS-My name is Catherine and I took up Paper Marbling almost 10 years ago. I find the process endlessly fascinating! I drop colours on a size of water which is thickened with moss extract, manipulate them with a stylus and/or combs to create a unique riot of colour and pattern which is then transferred to paper. The question arose, what to do with my ever growing stack of papers? So I turned my hand to making things I could decorate with my marbled paper. I have been creating boxes, pen pots, frames…
Amos Country Kitchen-I am Richenda and although I was born and brought up in Yorkshire, I have been living in Kent for over 30 years. I make a wide range of jams, pickles and preserves, where possible, using produce from my garden. I also source produce as much as possible, locally in Kent. I enjoy experimenting with different flavour combinations and varieties not available in regular food shops.
Brenna’s Crafts-I have always had an interest in crafting from a very young age and on a recent visit to Deal I was inspired to create some pebble pictures. I collected drift wood and various pebbles from the beach and got creative. I dabble with card making using various mediums such as paper craft and cross stitch. Making things gives me a sense of purpose and hopefully brings pleasure to others. As a child, an elderly lady taught me how to crochet blankets and now I too can share this gift…

The Shape of Glass-The technique of cutting glass into different shapes, foiling and soldering them together (known as Tiffany) was a craft that really interested me. 3 years on and I have fallen in love with it. The ability to create an image from glass with little detail and still portray the meaning fascinates me. My work varies, from standard pieces to more elaborate work, many of my own design. From Ballerinas, to Hot Air Balloons, Lanterns to Ladies with Umbrellas, the possibilities are endless and I’m always looking for the next image to…
Usable Misfits-Over the years I’ve trekked across a plethora of American and European beaches, fields, as well as, visited numerous charity, bric-a-brac & curio shops, flea markets and boot sales. Always on the hunt for misfit treasures to repurpose into something new. The UK offers a cornucopia of history and exploration, one where you can find sea glass, broken shards of pottery and Victorian delftware, discarded and rediscovered. On any given weekend, I can traipse along the shores to my hearts’ content, collecting glorious misfit pieces of discarded refuse. As an…
